Start your gourmet journey with a visit to the Appenzeller® Schaukäserei in Stein and get to the bottom of the best-kept secret in Swiss cheese history. We recommend a visit in the morning to experience cheese production live.
Afterwards, head up high: the Säntis suspension railway takes you to the highest peak of the Alpstein in around 10 minutes. At 2502 metres above sea level, you even can see Lake Constance and learn all about the weather, snow, glaciers and minerals in the theme world.
